We are launching our fundraising effort to help finance this research phase of Adfreeze Project. Funds raised will help cover residency fees, travel and equipment rental.
There are 3 ways you can help support our project:
1. Tax-free Donation
Adfreeze Project is sponsored by the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA). Tax-fee donations can be made anytime through the Artspire website. There is no minimum donation, and no donation is too small.
2. Limited Edition Set
Salt and Salt – sea and kosher salt shakers. By Oona Stern. Cast polyurethane, sea salt, kosher salt. 4.5" x 4" x 6".
South – CD containing 3 Antarctic musical compositions and 14 field recordings of natural soundscapes from the Antarctic Peninsula. By Cheryl Leonard. Limited pressing, one-of-a-kind handmade covers.
Edition of 25, $300 per set (includes both shakers and cd). Available only to donors, delivery beginning late August.
Modeled after the way early naturalists such as Audubon and Wilson funded their research, subscribers will receive artworks created during and after our expedition. Completion date April 2012.
Subscription option 1: Set of 12 field recordings and 6 field drawings (archival prints). Numbered, signed, Edition of 25, $400 per set.
Subscription option 2: Collaborative project by Cheryl Leonard and Oona Stern. Format tbd. Edition of 10, $750.

NYFA is a 501(c)3, tax exempt organization founded in 1971 to work with the arts community throughout New York State to develop and facilitate programs in all disciplines. NYFA will receive grants on behalf of Adfreeze Project, ensure the use of grant funds in accordance with the grant agreements, and will provide program or financial reports as required.
